Cancelling Appointments
Appointments are valuable time that the doctor, nurse or other health professional puts aside to see you. There is often pressure on appointments and it wastes time and costs money when a patient fails to keep an appointment and does not inform us in advance. We can often re-allocate appointments even on the same day.
We understand that your circumstances change and what you plan one day may be unnecessary or impossible on another. If you are unable to keep an appointment, please let us know by cancelling online or calling the practice, so the slot can be offered to someone else.
Urgent Appointments
A doctor will always see you on the same day if you have an urgent problem. Where possible, try to see the same doctor all the time, so that they are familiar with your treatment and progress. If your usual doctor is unavailable, you may see one of the others who will then pass you back to your usual doctor.
Telephone Appointments
The doctors are happy to discuss problems by telephone. We offer a phone appointment system, whereby the doctors will ring you back in their allotted “phone time”. This can be to any convenient telephone number. You can often save yourself and your doctor a lot of time and effort by using the telephone in place of a visit or appointment.
To book a telephone appointment please ring the surgery. Please be aware our lines are especially busy between 8.30am and 10am so there may be a short delay before your call is answered. Unless you get an engaged tone, please do not ring off; the receptionists will answer as soon as possible.
Registered Patients
You can book online via our Consulting Room if you are registered for our online services, or to make an appointment at Drybrook Surgery please call 01594 542239.
Please be prepared to give brief details of your health condition or the service you want to access so we are better able to assess your needs.
