The type of test determines how long the results take to be received by the surgery. For many routine blood tests these are received within 24 to 48 hours of the test though some results may take much longer. The healthcare assistant will be able to advise you.
Getting your test results
If your test results show that you need more tests or treatment, we will contact you.
Once a doctor has reviewed your test results, you can view them:
- in your NHS account (through the NHS website or NHS App)
- in your SystmOne account
- by phoning us on 01594 542239 and we will tell you what the results are
If you are phoning for test results you may find it easier to get through on the telephone in the afternoon. If you have regular blood tests you may wish to consider having on-line access to your records when you will be able to login via your computer or your phone and see all of your results at any time.
