The type of test determines how long the results take to be received by the surgery. For many routine blood tests these are received within 24-48 hours of the test though some results may take much longer. The healthcare assistant will be able to advise you. 

If you are phoning for test results you may find it easier to get through on the telephone in the afternoon. If you have regular blood tests you may wish to consider having on-line access to your records when you will be able to login via your computer or your phone and see all of your results at any time.
